In this weeks Defense News it summarizes the Army decision to kill
further development and production of the Heavy Assault Bridge (HAB) known as
the Wolverine which used the basic M1 hull, it was demonstrated at the 1997
APG East Coast Rally in front of the Post Theater. Also killed was an M88
based vehicle called the Grizzly. I don't recall reading anything about
what were doing with the M88A2 known as the Hercules.
