According to Ford Accounting Dept. data in the Ford Industrial
Archives, the stamped steel pintle hook was not used on the Ford GPW. This
type of pintle hook was used on the very late Willys MB and is usually
found on 1945 built units. There was a Govt. change order allowing the
substitution of the cast one with this style. The stamped hook is quite
hard to find and the few examples I have seen sold brought over $100.00
