Hi list,
Is there any source of information on the engineering history of the M35
series of vehicles? There is so much information on the history of other
vehicles like the Jeep, M37, and Humvee that it seems strange that no one is
interested in the history of a vehicle that is nearly the universal cargo
vehicle for the military. For example, how closely related are they to the
M135/M211 vehicles? Who originated the design? I know the more recent
engines like the LDT-465 were built by White, Continental, and Hercules to
name a few. Was one of these companies the original designer of the engines?
Where can I learn more about the technical past of these trucks?
