SEABEE gear s not always Green..they are NOT always based on land. SEABEES
are assigned to certain ships as DIVERS and UNDERWATER WELDING and other
UNDERWATER REPAIRS. I had 4 SEABEES attached to the Destroyer Tender I was
on..they even had their own REPAIR BOAT..a very well equipped unit with a
lot of diving equipment. The M151A2 they had aboard was typical Navy gray.
It said U S NAVY on it..Their LT's sedan was also Navy gray. Anyone who
thinks SEABEES are only ''land based" is very mis-informed. I only did 17
years in the Navy--retired from the Army....1SG PANTANO
