Quite a few Unimogs are now on the West Coast in British Columbia, Canada.
Some are surplus out of Shilo, Manitoba, where the German Army has a
training establishment (due to close down in a while).

Other Unimogs have been imported here from Europe. One recent problem is
that so many were coming in, through one dealer in particular I understand,
that the government suddenly noticesd, got picky, and started insisting on
Department of Transport approved tires (German tires were suddenly not good
enough - yes one can argue that they may be superior, but they are not 'DOT
approved') and changes in lighting etc. I think vintage/collectors might be
exempt, but for people wanting to use them as work vehicles, this means an
extra expense in changes. Rumour has it that in BC the system is flagged to
react when "Unimog" comes up on an application.
