Learned Listers,

Symptom:

Oil pressure initially very slow to build up then is fine/high. As the
engine heats up, the oil pressure drops alarmingly. The engine may be
running a tad hotter than usual, but it's by such a small degree that it's
hard to tell.

The oil level is fine. Could it be the filter? The filter is a Toyota
cross-referenced equivalent to the Ford F1 and Fram PH8A. Ostensibly, this
filter has a check-valve which is supposed to assist pressure build-up at
engine start. Not so, by the look of it, eh?

Thank you in advance
