Today I was given two surplus tents. They appear to be in very good
condition, but missing poles and stakes.
I want to display one of them with an M38, but I don't have any idea of the
size/number of poles. The numbers stenciled on the burlap bags are:
8(?)340-00-262-3684
Tent, Arctic 10 man
They apparently date from the late '50s.
Can anyone email me off list and tell me what size/type and number of poles I
will need to erect this tent?
And as a bonus, (and the list content!) on the way to pick up these tents I
found an MB frame, rear axle, and bumperettes. No one home today, though, so
I'll go back. There are several old barns around, so maybe I'll get a peek
in there, too.
