Does anyone have a source for gauge for a 1944 Dodge Command Car, especially
a fuel gauge and speedometer? I would prefer it if they did not cost me an
arm and a couple of legs! Were any of these gauges used on any other MV's?

I have noticed recently some vitriolic postings on the list. Let's be
realistic about this, everyone has an opinion and though we may not agree
with each other on various aspects, respect other people's opinions without
getting insulting. Common sense should always prevail when we are using MV's
if it is only to run down to the local supermarket, (which I do) or anything
of a much larger scale. Generally our hobby has a fairly low media profile
and that is the way we should keep it. Accidents or rescues get the media's
attention very quickly and then we have ill-informed politicians or
do-gooders pushing legislation that will restrict our hobby. As a Brit I can
tell you that this is what happened to our firearms in the UK and it happened
very quickly!

On another subject, it would be interesting and useful if people could also
post their location when posting to the list. This makes it handy when people
are selling parts and who knows, there may be another MV owner in your
neighborhood.

Just my two cents, or should I say two pence.
