Col. Hackworth is also the most decorated living soldier and was one of
the minority in VietNam who were interested in winning the war insead of
being "politically correct". His outspokenness against McNamara and
Westmoreland's policies, the waste of men's lives and of millions of
dollars worth of military material (including military vehicles)
ultimately cost him a brilliant career and his future in the military.
