     A minor nitpick...........
    There may be some confusion when it's stated "M-54" when referring to 5
ton 6x6 trucks.

A M-54 has a 6 cyl. Continental R-6602 spark ignition motor (
Gasoline fueled)
A M-54 A1 has a diesel compression ignition engine.
A M-54 A2 has a multifuel compression ignition engine.

       Although we often refer to these as "M-54 series" trucks there are
differences between them.
