      I should add that these kits were made by the Smart Engineering Co.
of Detroit Michigan, during WW II. They came in three versions with the
biggest difference in the size and shape of the windshield armor. They
made the jeep very top heavy and resulted in the death of Lt. Max Munson
(Munson test course at Aberdeen P.G. is named after him) when it rolled
during testing.
    By the description of "two ball mounts" I would guess them to be the
second or third variation of the design.
     The early kits converted the MA and later ones the MB/GPW.
