Info on Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Rally "pasted" below, partcipants started
arriving last night, looks to be biggest ever, field is sold out with
exception of 2-3 single spaces for the last minute tailgaters. Jerry
Cleveland wrote a very good article on the 25th annual rally in the July/Aug
issue of Supplyline

27TH ANNUAL EAST COAST RALLY, SPONSORED BY WASHINGTON AREA COLLECTORS / BLUE
AND GREY MILITARY VEHICLE TRUST.

Background: Longest running and one of the largest military vehicle
gatherings and military swap/flea markets in North America. Proceeds raised
in the past benefit U.S. Army Ordnance Museum and Army Emergency Relief.

Directions: Convenient to I-95. Take exit 85, travel east 4 miles to
Aberdeen Proving Ground Gate, follow signs, Rally is on Tank Mile road across
from Ruggles Golf Course. AMTRAK and MARC train service to Aberdeen, MD,
station is only 2 miles from Rally, serviced by local taxi. BWI Airport and
Philadelphia Airport only 50 minutes away.

General Admission: $2.00 donation requested. Three-day pass $4.00 donation
requested.

Vender Space: Generous 25ft by 25ft only $30, includes two vender passes per
space.

Show Promotion: Heavily advertised in state and local media. 535 spaces sold
in May 1999 show estimated 5,200 visitors.

FREE Vehicle Judging: FREE entry to driver and one passenger. There is no
cost to military vehicles entered into display and judging area. Each
vehicle entered, is granted one free space in display/judging area. There is
no vending allowed in display/judging area. Modified MVPA Judging Rules
apply. Restored Class and Motorpool Ready Class. Vehicle categories are;

Additional fund raising and advertising opportunities: By popular demand
our ever growing Rally will include additional opportunities for venders,
participants and organizations to be involved in mutually beneficial fund
raising. Donations gratefully accepted for door prizes, silent auction,
live auction, and for registration packets. Include your name, company or
organization on all donations, mail or drop off at the Rally. Proceeds
benefit the Ordnance Museum, help save our Historical Military Artifacts
