    I've seen photos of an extra gas can mount attached just in front of the
passenger door. Or 2 or 3 water cans strapped to the bumper. As I remember,
they're usually mounted front to back with the spouts forward. Usually just rope
holding them to the grill. Also I've seen photos of bumper racks for extra
.50/.30 ammo or rations. There's a good article with photos in Army Motors from a
while back about the jeep "June Suzie II". It's got some great photos of field
modifications. Daryll Bensinger wrote the article about a vet he talked with.
