    Pedestal mounts were very rarely used on the GP. The few photos of them
with mounts show home made ones.

     These loops are not for a pedestal mount. They were designed for
strapping the .50 cal (and .30 cal) browning tripod to the vehicle. This
made an ad hoc machine gun mount.
