I wish! The holes on the flywheel are 7-3/4" apart, otherwise that
would have worked. I will take the strap steel into work today and
borrow a tap and bolt. Of course, one of the reasons for taking all
this apart (besides putting it on the new engine) is to sandblast the
parts and paint them. Our 5hp compressor has decided to act funny, so
sandblasting is on hold until the compressor is repaired anyway. I
think I will try the electrolytic rust removal procedure outlined in
the latest Military Vehicles magazine on the clutch disc and pressure
plate before sandblasting. After all, I can't resist playing with both
acid and electricity, and both at the same time!
