I believe they're still towing them behind CUCV's, though I've never seen one,
and I think some of them have been modified in some fashion to take the
standard M1008 CUCV style tires and rims. We have acquired some 116
trailers
that have 12 V bulbs in the taillight assemblies.

I suppose that given the ongoing problems with the HUMV trailers that it's
possible
some might've also gained a DRMO reprieve as humvee trailers. Again, I've
seen
them around in the Ft. Lewis compounds, but have never actually seen a HUMV
towing
a 101A1.

In Canada, my old unit had three or four 3/4 ton trailers as of last year,
evenly divided
between original 50's M101 and the later 60's M101A1 - still used
practically every
exercise behind the CP's. The 101 and one of the -A1's were condemned due
to chassis
rust and wound up sold locally at some astronomical price through one of
the contracted
auction-houses. Counting Ft. Lewis DRMO and the sales from our local
Militia, I think
I remember seeing or hearing of no more than a handful of the straight
cargo 3/4 ton
variants sold over the last five or so years.

Another option you could go with if you can't find the cargo trailer is to
use one of the
more common 3/4 ton M-116 generator trailers, or one of the 3/4 ton tool
trailers that seem
to be cropping up regularly at DRMS sales. Fellow at work purchased two of
them - one
kept perfectly original - the other with the divider stripped out of it for
practicality's
sake, and I saw yet another up for bids on the Ft. Lewis local sale yesterday.
