you may remember a few weeks ago that someone posted to the list, a message
from someone who was "on the brink of clinching a deal" for ex-mil hummers in
Australia. The story went that some of the money for the bid had been raised,
but the bidder was now asking for Joe Public to input cash into the scheme to
help secure the "bid", with the promise of a hummer for all those who
"invested".
As an avid collector of such stories, I'd like to ask..... did anyone
follow through this once-in-a-lifetime offer???
