I'm thinking based on that info that B12 should work.

I put a fuel pump that was in bad shape with Lacquer stuff in a gallon can
of Butyl Cellusolve and it disolved the stuff and pump came back to life - I
do not know where you can get some of this stuff - I use in in my real life
job - I have sold some to hobby shops for use with flying model planes but
do not know any more than than.
