David

I'm not sure I can, I may well not know enough to relate what I saw.

The fuel in the Tank was badly lacquered, to the point of smelling a lot
like linseed.
We pushed with a forklift and got not a pop or smoke.
Checked the in tank pump and it worked.
Pulled out 20 gal of old fuel and added 24 Gal of 91 oct. (as thinner).
And at 2:30 filled the main filters with the same.
When we cranked her, she would fire on either but not run.
The "firing" was affected by the foot feed (as if we were getting something)
and seemed like it should start, but would not.
I did not think to look for smoke at the time.

My thought is that the final filter is still mostly full of bad fuel.
Would have check that but it was 3:00pm and the boys were ready to lock up.

Is this enough to tell you much?

The test stand is about the size of a small pick up. It is expensive
($1,000s). It will drive an injection pump at various speeds, and measure
the fuel flow and pressure delivered to each nozzle. I got my manual on the
injection pump and stand from Lucky Gash in Concordia, MO (on my way back
from Ft. Riley after having spent 3 days trying to start a truck at DRMO).
If you will take the time to tell me in detail what the symptoms are and
what
you have done, I may be able to help you.
