Dear Listers,
I had been facing the problem of engine misfiring and hesitating recently
with my MUTT and was told to replace spark plugs.
As I could not find new replacement mil-spec spark plugs, a friend of mine
(ex-Irish Army Engineer) replaced the old mil-spec plugs and plug leads
with new civvy spark plug leads and Bosch short-head plugs. No adapter
whatsoever is being used. The plug leads go straight from the ignitor to
the plugs. No alterations were carried out either.
Well, now the engine is firing well but there is still a slight hesitation
in the third and fourth gears. Carb was cleaned but the problem persists.
How do I solve it.
