My M35A2 http://members.fullnet.net/rklion/ M35 link, total cost in my yard
was $1300, and was running in 36 hrs
no cost except my labor, and the help from this list.
I've put 130 miles on it just playing in the last 2 weeks.
Took it out today and taught my 13 yr old daughter and my partner in crime's
(he owns the white 3/4 ton Dodge we used to haul my deuce home) 2 boys 13 &
14,how to run it in low range.

Would not trade it for... anything less than cash.
Would however like a $10 jeep in a crate to put together!

Aw, it's not as bad as it sounds. You've just been seeing the bad
stuff lately. I picked up my deuce from DRMS for $1751, with just over
3000 miles on the frame, and 1.1 hours on the engine since rebuild. It
has needed surprisingly little work for a 28-year-old much-abused
truck. I've dumped far more work and money into my HMMWV, aside from
rotating over a ton of tires on the deuce. I just needed to bleed the
air out of the fuel system to get it to start for the first time. It
even had good batteries, with enough charge in them for that first
start.
