Rarest- has to be the jeep which had combat history with the 29th Division
in WWII. It belonged to the Signal Officer of the Division, and made its
way back to the US somehow, and stayed in his possession until many years
later when it was purchased by somebody local to Washington DC. I know of
no other WWII jeeps with documented combat history from WWII in private
hands.

Most Desirable- The WWII jeep. My friend took me for a ride in his when I
was 12, and now 20 years later, I have owned 20 or so of them. I know of no
souls who object to the jeep.

Most Affordable- Gordon, you got one, the M37/M43. They can still be picked
up and made running for less than $2500. You can't beat that. They are
getting pricey, though, so pick them up right now before basket cases get
real expensive.
