My 1942 GPW has got to go away. ;-(

It's a composite ('42 Ford frame, "Auburn" body, Willys motor) - older
restoration that
needs minor TLC and someone who can work on her. It's not the best, but
she served me
well until I broke my back.

Registered as 1942 Ford GP-W Vehicle in COLORDAO
Carries an Indiana assigned VIN – Colorado valid title (Horseless
Carriage)
older restoration (1980’s) purchased 90% done.

replaced - brakes, tires, starter, fuel system (carb, pump, lines)

Features:
6V electrical system – not suppressed
original carb, filter, 1 combat rim (spare), rifle rack
tagged “10th Mountain Div. – 10th Medical Bn.” and “Betty Boop”
Rifle rack, mirrors, etc

Included:

Beachwood Canvas top, windshield cover, ˝ doors, & straps
     Unknown maker seats, headlight covers
Original TM manual & Chiltons manual
     Tow bar & towing lights
Original GI canvas bucket on fuel can strap
Original GI map case for dashboard
     Original leather rifle scabbard

Cosmetic Needs:

axe brackets installed (brackets included – axe NOT included
˝ door sockets installed (sockets & ˝ doors included)
     pintle hook (not included)
proper key switch (uses modern replacement now)
     replace 1 headlamp bulb
proper seat canvas screws (has Phillips heads now)

Mechanical Needs:

valve job (or maybe just a proper adjustment!)
brake drum (one drags – probably warped drum)
leak repairs – everything needs to be tightened – maybe gaskets?
It used to be pretty
     good, until 1995.

Why selling? I broke my back & can’t drive or work on her any
more. $8500 OBO

If interested, reply off list.
