This is such a two way subject there is not a clear cut
right or wrong.. Right is when your salvaging a MV be it
an aircraft, jeep or ship and having respect for any remains
left in the MV of a former person who died within..Wrong is
when you do it motivated for profit over preservation and
respect

But we do need to bring back some of these MV's because there
are none or few of them left in existence. We are a group who
are but a narrow laser beam section of society But without us
doing the salvage and restoration / preservation of these MV's,
they would become as extinct as the dinosaurs.

Wrong is raiding these location or vehicles for profit or for
ghoulish souvenirs.. Example the Japanese lost hundreds of lives
aboard the ships anchored in Rabal harbor when the US Navy hit
them late in the war.. After the war when sport diving became
the rage, divers would regularly dive on the ships retrieving
skulls as well as other human remains and personal artifacts
for souvenirs .. This was finally stopped by the families of the
dead sailors from the ships.

Wrong is diving on the sunken German sub just off the coast of
Rhode Island. Again human remains and the like were being taken
off the sub.

I have a friend who is part of the teams doing the artifact
excavation in the Dutch Zees. They are supervised by the government
to insure that any remains or personal artifacts of a dead crew
member are saved and treated accordingly. Here is an example of
the right way to do it..Preservation of history with respect for
the dead.

My problem with he guy in France is he is uncontrolled no
different from those who raided the artifacts of the Titanic.
their motive is profit not preservation and thats the difference.
