We have to do exactly that on some of the bigger M-series things that
haven't moved for a bit, and invariably have no fuel left in their fuel
pumps. In fact, I'm off to do exactly that right now - an M54 gasser with a
chronic fuel bleed-down problem which I don't much feel like pushing out of
the way. Beats that mouthful of stale gasoline every time.

(Built a few caps with air fittings for bleeding various brake systems as
well. Saves so much time, and becomes a 'do-able' operation without a
helper.)
