Another use for these units, that hasn't been mentioned yet...They can be
installed in the "manhole" on the top of a "Water Buffalo" water trailer and
used to keep the water from freezing during transport. Heat the water after
the trailer is filled, remove the heater and take the water to the
destination, even in severe cold weather, then re-install the heater if
needed. I've seen them used in this way to heat water that is then pumped
from the trailer to a shower head for use in the field. Just have to be
careful about how hot the water gets. Oh yes...you don't want to install one
of these heaters in a fiber glass Water Buffalo, they can't take the
concentrated heat or the stress of having the heater clamped on the rim.
They work great in a stainless steel trailer, though.

same time, depending on who was operating them.
