The author, Tom Berndt, is a member of our museum and the editor of our
museum newsletter. I bought a copy of his book, from him, about two years
ago. I believe that he had just had another batch printed at that time so he
probably still has a few copies available. I have also seen copies at Barnes
& Noble and other bookstores.

Folks, I have just purchased the book "Standard Catalog of U.S. Military
Vehicles 1940-1965" by Thomas Berndt. This book has extensive information
on wheeled vehicles, armor and other military vehicles. I just purchased it
from a used book store in Colorado Springs, Co. for $15.00. IT has a price
of $29.95. Has anyone else on the list heard of this book?
Its published by Krause Publications, Who have taken over the publishing of
"MV Magazine". I do not know if there is another copy of this at there
bookstore, but it might not be too hard to find out. IM in New Mexico so I
won't be back that way for awhile.

luck!I also saw some of the newer Janes books on Military Vehicles there too
for about $11.00.
A heads up to our Colorado Springs/ Pueblo Listers, Gateways Bookstore will
be Going out of Business or hopefully just moving, if the can find a
building, in mid March 2001. I have bought more military books/ Military
reference books there, then anywhere else in the mid west! If you need some
books or want to see if they have anything that you might not have, I would
