Imperial Palace/Vegas vehicle collection and...

I was there last Sunday thru Wed and saw the car collection including a
very nice '41 Ford Jeep and '42 MV trailer. Both were completely restored
(not frame-off however) and looked really nice. I got a couple of pics just
for fun.

Of related interest (maybe), Ralph Engelstat (owner of I.P.) was fined by
the Nevada gaming commission for holding parties to celebrate Hitler's
birthday and giving out bumper stickers saying "Hitler was Right". I think
that is why he had to get rid of Hitler's car.

Another thought: Whatever you want for your MV, it is or will be on eBay at
some point. I purchased a pintel for my Browning 30 out of the MV magazine
and then saw it 2 weeks later on eBay going for 1/2 by the same seller. I'm
not complaining because I got what I wanted/needed at that time but it's
nicer to get something for less.

And lastly, in relation to my last post ("Do you play with it"); I go quite
often to the Public Administrator's Auctions (Dead People's Stuff who die
w/o heirs) and have seen some vehicle collections go on the block including
2 Rolls Royces. I guess the moral is: Enjoy things and don't just let them
sit.

Enjoy.
