I found a M38 with date of delivery 8/51. The tub has no rust and is very
very straight except for the left rear quarter panel it has bondo in it. The
engine is correct and runs very well with no smoke. the transmission shifts
very well and the 4 wheel drive performs great. The body also has some of
the military hardware still on it such as the axe and shovel attachments and
both of the battery boxes. It comes with five correct wheels. Also what
looks like original military stenciling is visible.
It has been converted to 12 volts, has the wrong seats and a roll bar welded
to it. The gas tank has been replaced also. The front bumper is incorrect
with a tow bar welded to it. It does have a winch but it is not correct.
What is this jeep worth?
