The Italian truck that you are interested in is a Canadian made ( Western Star in B.C.)
Iveco Fiat 40-10WM . My friends in the forces tell me that they are not very well liked
and have had numerous problems with them. Even to the point of being restricted to
" On road use only " not off road. Metallic brake pads that scream and can be heard
for miles etc. They are called , in Canada, LSVW --- Light Support Vehicle Wheeled.
The " German " truck is actually an Austrian a Steyr 1491.6x6 kg. truck built in Canada under
license by UTDC in Kingston Ontario. This is called HLVW-- Heavy Load Vehicle Wheeled.
