Hi Walter
First what country?? Just as you can take old money to a bank and they will
give you face value for it but you may take a loss if you want to find out
what it worth try your search engine and you will find many sites buying and
selling paper items here is one info site below and just a word of caution
there is a lot of fakes out there so if you can get it certified its worth
more. Also check ebay here is one from there.

Anyone on the list have experience with War Bonds? A relative (age 90)
has 6 $25.00 war savings and defense savings bonds all from 1942 - can
they be cashed in? or are they just a collectors item.
