Possibly scrapping FAC jeeps.....

Hi Listers,

If Asa and myself win the bid, we will be scrapping 10 ea. M151 A1 FAC
jeeps. These trucks are former US military vehicles that were ultimately
lend-leased to the allies here in Thailand. One even has a marine bumper.
This will be a restorer's scrapping, with all bolts, nuts, clips, pipes and
fixings retained and cleaned. Notable parts of interest are the 100 amp
wiring, passenger-seat reversal hardware, heavy electrical switches in the
toolbox compartments and dash-mounted switches/dataplates and some VERY old
turn signal switches. Sorry Hank, no spare wheel hardware at all.

All electrical connectors will be salvaged, along with ALL footman loops,
tool clips and as many body panels as we can get away with. These are
almost rust-free jeeps, so we hope to be able to produce a number of good
pairs of A1 wings (fenders) and rear sponsons, as well as all the usual stuff.

Does anyone have any particular parts requests? Surface mail from Thailand
to the rest of the World is quite reasonably costed. Obviously, I'll be
bringing a bunch of stuff to Belters as well. (Hopefully Asa will be coming
too.......).

Cheers All.
Gavin
