I read this somewhere one time ---

OD was chosen because most of combat was supposed to be in wooded areas. I
have been told that sitting still and camo painted truck is less visible
than solid OD, BUT when moving camo is more visibe than solid OD. Do not
remember where I read this. Do not know how reliable this is.
