When I had my M-151A2 the local reserve center motor sgt gave me some paint
that was specifically for battery box lining. It was black and thick and
was a little "lumpy/bumpy" when dry. I don't have the NSN for it, but it
was mil-issue and the label stated that it was for battery box application.
One of the TMs probably refers to it.
