HMMWV Radio Woes

Hello List,

I was hooking up my radios in my HMMWV today. I have a 524 and 442A set up.
I hooked up the antenna wire to the 524 and temporarily connected the power
cable to a battery Positive post showing 24V... I started to get sound out
of the 524's speaker, unfortunately my temporary connection slipped and the I
think the red wire hit the black battery post.... I saw a spark in the
battery box.. and no more sound. I turned off the 524 and back on again.. to
try to get the circuit breaker to reset (Hopefully) but had no luck. I
checked that I was getting 24V out of the C pin on the mount where the radio
slides in... and it was getting the voltage. Next I disconnected the 442A
Aux mount from the 1029 mount and used another cable to to directly to the
battery... I'm not getting anything from the headsets or lights on the
dial.... HELP..... Have I fried these radios? I opened the 524 up, having
never looked inside on... hoping to find a fuse or something... its very cool
the way the racks all swing up for maintenance inside the radio... but didn't
find anything that I might be able to fix... so I closed it back up... what
else can I do? I even let them sit for a few hours hoping something might
reset (like a delayed circuit breaker) but still I get nothing..... Are
there any more diagnostics I can do or does anyone know what I might need to
do to get these operational again?

Many Thanks,
Tony
