I saw a guy doing the rear wheel bearings on one axle of a five ton in the
campground at the Big Bear event in California a few years ago. Having just done
the job myself on an M35A2, I went over to see what was going on. The guy told me
that the "Jesus nut" had let loose just as he pulled into the park.

I had another experience where I strange clunking sound coming from the rear of a
newly purchased M35A2 during right turns. It turned out to be a wheel with loose
lug nuts. It seems that after the truck was painted, the nephew of the seller was
supposed to put the wheels back on and tighten everything up. It looked like
junior missed one. Shame on me however, for not catching it during my walk around
inspection.
