Air Force trucks for many years were painted Strata Blue, and this would
explain the lack of markings on hood.
Air Force regs at the time specify NO national insignia (star) on the hood
(or doors) in CONUS (continental United States). Air Force registration
numbers at the time were on the outside of the doors. First two numbers are
the year model.
