Hi Everyone. I have an almost a complete M151A2 Mutt TOW Missile Jeep.
I need the Day Sight assembly.
It's useless for anything but the TOW system mount, as it attaches on the
side with a clamping bracket. I heard that someone found one in a Georgia
gun show last year for $100 dollars, new, but I can't locate them or the
seller. Argh!
The sight has two 3" to 4" lenses side by side up front, (one should be gold
tinted from memory) and a single large eyepiece in the back off to the side,
possibly with a rubber eye cup . It's about 5 inches tall, 12 inches wife
and 18 inches long (far too heavy to hold up just for sightseeing at the
beach.) Would have a "T" shaped handle underneath (I have this) with an
electrical computer type socket as well as other attachment points on the
top side. It is painted OD or any variant of green available.
Without the Yoke assembly (I have) the sight is basically worthless (too
heavy and awkward to handle).
If anyone has a lead or better yet has one! Please consider helping me
finish this restoration off.
