I like what Doug said about paying attention
to all the chatter about Diesel runaways. Never hurts to be educated,
especially of mechanical quirks that will try and bite you.

I will take that one step further. You never know when that deal is going to
come along and you find that you are in possession of something you never
thought you would own.

Having gotten married a little over a month ago, and setting up house
keeping, moving, etc. plus events at work, I don't have the time to keep up
to date like I did or even want to but, I do scan the list and I learn.

I want a dumper! It will happen. I have picked-up much knowledge from the
list of things to watch for and the like. It has not been a waste.

Juts my two cents

Gordie

I can remember a time when us non-yanks used to joke that the list had
turned into an M37 owners club, such was the chatter. These variations
of traffic come and go. It was getting that way that I was deleting more
than I was reading, so M37 specific was the traffic. Then the worm
turned and off we went again.
The "M" series crowd will in their own time interconnect and email
each other with their specific chatter "what shape doohickey does a
late production....." and we will move on. Then in their turn they will
have to tolerate the chatter from the legions of Hummer owners or Hemmt
or Abrams or Bradley ;-).
Can't you just see it "my Abrams will only
get 1/8th of a mile per gallon, how can I fine tune the Lycoming mod
9865465789-834562398156-998672459 version 19 turbine to get 1/7th mpg?"
But out of it will come the odd thread-of-legend such as the Jerrycan
thread.

As lacking interest as I am in things M35, I have been paying attention
to all the chatter about Diesel runaways. Never hirts to be educated,
especially of mechanical quirks that will try and bite you.

Exactly.
