Colin Stevens comments:
DO NOT OPEN ATTACHMENTS. CAUTION: The virus is smarter than that. It
takes a clip of a REAL message, a few lines which makes it look legitimate,
adds your name as the sender (unbeknownst to you) - then suggests that the
recipient "Take a look to the attachment" [ Note that it is poor English
and says "look TO" not "look AT" ...... DON'T DO IT!]

MY SUGGESTION TO ALL:
1. DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS TO THE LIST.
2. DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS ON MESSAGES FROM MV LIST.
3. LIST MASTER - I SUGGEST THAT YOU CONFIGURE THE LIST TO SCREEN OUT ALL
ATTACHMENTS.

There is no point blaming fellow list members for other than being a little
naive and careless (I pled guilty to that charge already). This virus is a
SMART sucker - sneaky. We are ALL victims here.

Re: Conspiracy theory: As a dweller from above the 49th Parallel (i.e. main
part of the USA-Canada Border) we often view our friends south of the 49th
// as being somewhat paranoid about conspiracies. After all, who can really
PROVE that Fidel Castro was actually seen on the 'grassy knoll' wearing a
Dallas policeman's uniform and carrying a silenced Carcano rifle moments
before President JFK was assassinated? The CIA obviously conspired to alter
the Zabruder film (I'm not sure of the spelling of his name). The delay in
releasing it was that they had to wait for the digital image altering
technology to be delivered by unidentified flying objects to Area 51. ;-)
(Don't shoot you'all - its a JOKE!). Also, any similarity between the recent
(April 1/2) ramming in international air space and subsequent seizure of a
US electronic intelligence gathering aircraft April 1st/2nd and its crew
(yes, I feel that they were held hostage in spite of the polite political
words) and the equipment on board - well, WHAT if the crew's instructions
were NOT to smash hard disks and NOT to pour acid on files etc., but simply
to send a single message with a nasty Trojan horse virus-worm attachment
through every system on the plane? Of course, if the Red Chinese read any of
the attachments ... (How's THAT for a conspiracy theory!). By the way, I
saw Elvis today ... driving the one and only Bantam 1940 round fendered
prototype 1/4 Ton 4x4. He had a stack of crated NOS WWII jeeps in his garage
too.

There is NO legitimate attachment to this message.
