Hello List......Looking for any/all information on the Auto Union/Horch
901 Type 40, Car, Medium 4X4 (Pg. 104 Vanderveen's Historic Military
Vehicle Directory) Have a non-computer friend here in Michigan(USA)
starting a restoration. As far as he knows its the only one in the
states. His is the later model with the spare mounted inside the
vehicle. Very interesting WWII German vehicle... 4 wheel independent
suspension, V-8 engine, locking central differential, etc. His is the
model pictured at top of page referenced earlier. Anyone out there know
of any others? Any in museums somewhere, private collections, in the
barn out back? We're looking for anything....photos,
drawings(interior/exterior) any references in other printed material.
Was there ever anything in Wheels & Tracks or Army Motors? He's doing
what homework he can on his own, but I figured I'd tap the vast well of
knowledge we have here. Thanks in advance and I'll forward everything
you come up with....................
