M1009 turbo

Hi Guys,
The 6.2L is plenty stout for a turbo. Just go to www.thedieselpage.com and
read the articles on turbocharging a 6.2 NA. The are hundreds of guys who
have slapped a Banks turbo on their GM diesel with no complaints. Even
high-milers are standing up to the boost. The 6.2 is equipped with HD
pistons, connecting rods, and crank to deal with the 20:1 compression ratio.
The block is plenty stout too. Just buy a pyrometer with your turbo kit
and keep an eye on the exhaust temps. Also flush or recore your radiator to
ensure that it is cooling at it's max. Some folks also install a higher
flow water pump.
Sincerely,
