Actually you can do that with a Mig also, you just need to make sure the
breeze from the fan is not too strong and the sheilding gas flow is not at
the minimum.

A cartridge mask is a *lot* better than a cheapie throw away. Spend $40 and
save $10,000 in hospital bills! Try buying a replacement set of lungs, costs
a lot more than a nice MV!
