Problem at Kasserine pass was that the American Commanders were foolish
enough to believe what the British Intelligence told them about the Germans
being unable to attack in that sector. We learned to trust reliable
intelligence more and British intelligence less after that. Too bad it cost
us a large portion of two divisions to learn that tough lesson. (By the way,
those same Americans kicked the krap out of the Afrika Korps in a fair fight
two weeks later.)
