Just finished the PTO installation. As advised...Used two .010 gaskets to
start.......checked lash......around 7 to 9
thousandths..........perfect.......re filled with Mystic #7...red, stringy,
slick stuff, recommended by a local gear guy.......works in all
setting...no leaks.
I had found a crack on the back plate of the PTO when I first installed
it....noticed the oil leaking a drop at a time.....took it off and welded
the casting...checked by fillling the cap with water..and watching it...no
leaks.....repaint and reinstalled.
Works perfect.......just wanted to thank all who advised me...the tips were
great......
