CONNECTICUT MILITARY VEHICLE COLLECTORS 2001 SUMMER RALLY
The Connecticut Military Vehicle Collectors Club (COMVEC) will hold its
annual military vehicle show and rally on June 16, 2001 at the Portland
Fairgrounds in Portland Connecticut. Features include many military vehicles
of all ages and styles, antique trucks and fire trucks, The Governors
Footguard , flea market, an antique cannon and crew demonstrating authentic
cannon fire procedure, possibly a display of equipment by the Ct. National
Guard, vehicle judging and awards, trail ride, and a cookout on Friday
evening and a banquet on Saturday evening. Food will be on premise
throughout the whole weekend.
The main gate opens to the general public Saturday at 8:00 AM, with a full
day of vehicle judging, trail ride, awards and banquet scheduled. General
admission is $3.00 (15 and under free with adult). Two free admissions with
each show vehicle and one helper per vendor.
