New Museum

After dreaming about it for many years, and assembling the collection to
build it, I am finally opening a museum in the Baltimore Area.
We are incorporated as the Maryland Aviation History Museum, and are now
based at Essex Skypark, a small seaplane base on a peninsula east of
Baltimore City.

At this time, we are working to refurbish the museum static display room in
the Base Operations Building. At the same time, we are working toward
moving our vehicle and aircraft collection (all WWII) to the location. The
main theme of the museum, driven by the setting on a small 2200 foot runway,
is the WWII primary or basic training airfield.

We are seeking volunteer participants to be trained as museum conservators,
docents, restoration technicians, vehicle crew and aircrew.
Part of our mission as a museum and field tenant is improvement of the
field, so some activities include working on improving the field and
facilities.

At present time, we are under consideration to be a 501c3 classified
organization, so skilled time donated is deductible from taxes.

Our general schedule of work is every Tuesday night, most Saturday's, and
any other time I am not flying at the field or working on projects in our
storage facilities.

Please spread the word as far as possible, and email if you are personally
interested.
