I made mine out of black pipe, 1.25" or 1.5" I can't remember. I cutabout a
.75" piece off and then cut a section out of it to make it sort of an
internal snap ring. Steve is right about the importance of separating the
intake and exhaust manifolds. The previous owner of the CCKW I'm working on
had tried to over torque the rear bolt to seat the exhaust manifold and broke
it off. I sepatated them and bolted them to the head first and they seated
perfectly.
