Sounds like you got off to a bad start with the cops.

I am cop (Deputy) down in Texas, and it is our general policy and training
to first BE SAFE, and then pretty much give as you get. Since I don't know
the details of your incidents, I really can't comment much further.

However, I work back stage security at the annual bike rally in Austin, and
I very seldom have any problems. My MO is: you give respect, you should get
respect; a cop gives you respect and you give him attitude back, you got a
problem.

BTW: 22,000 bikers showed up this year, and I was the ONLY peace officer
inside. Only had one minor incident that was resolved quickly. And, Jerry
Jeff Walker still sounds great!!! Last year was Steppenwolfe--he still
sounds good too.
