I forgot to mention the M246 tractor wrecker...
very much like the M62, except....
No rear winch, has fifth wheel instead....
Boom extends further (quite a bit)....
Rear of bed shaped differently (to accommodate semi-trailer)....
AND in no case can the wrecker equipment (bed) be successfully transplanted
onto a diesel cargo chassis. The suspension is different (considerably) and
the frame is MUCH heavier, in addition to lots of "minor" details.
